YNGRAM: ART + DESIGN

The Online Portfolio of Brandon Ingram

Welcome to my home on the web. I am a freelance graphic designer and web developer always looking to expand my knowledge in new technologies. With skills in many different digital design techniques, I am able to create products incorporating a wide range of styles and influences.

I started out as a Computer Graphics artist, concerned mainly with film and video games, but have long since shifted my focus to include a much broader range of media. I use a lot of the methods learned from producing 3D assets when designing and concepting new material. This often includes heavy texture work, digital painting, and creating visual elements from scratch.

Currently, I am studying more in-depth programming material to create dynamically driven products. Right now this consists mainly of PHP, MySQL, and Actionscript.

8-Bit Game Experiment

February 16, 2010

I'm still attempting to teach myself game programming whenever I get a chance. Recently I jumped back into ActionScript code, because I think if anything I might learn some things I can apply to web development.

My new goal is to place strict limitations on my game audio/visual assets so I can spend more time on the programming.

In my newest engine, I will be using a base tileset of 8x8 pixel tiles with an 8 bit (256 color) palette. The entire game screen will be 128x104 pixels. In play, I will zoom the screen 300%, so you can actually see what's going on.
